The Real de Catorce Municipal Offices or Presidencia Municipal is directly opposite the fountain at the top of the hill from the Parish Church. There you will find the Municipal President's Office and various village offices including the Real de Catorce Police Station, the Director of Tourism, Civil Registry and Treasurers Office.

Real de Catorce is the seat of the local government of the same name and thus is the seat of municipal authorities, i.e. the Municipal President, four Councilmen, a Trustee, two Mayors and the administrative personnel.

This is a good place to check to see if the gate to the cemetery is locked during the week before making the trek. You can also visit the office of the Director of Tourism to find a guide or learn more about Real de Catorce.

There is also a Real de Catorce Museum that is under constant improvement. Ask about the Museum at the Director of Tourism.

If you want to get married in the Parish Church, you will need to register at the Civil Registry first and have plans made to have the ceremony at the church.

Real de Catorce now has a Medical Clinic located just inside the Ogarrio Tunnel. There you will find medical personnel and a new abulance should transportation to Matehuala become necessary. The facility has all the amenities that you would expect in a medical clinic.
