Armando’s received some great press in the paper! We made the cover of the Guia 777 Magazine and a great full page write up inside!
Our Client’s Raves…
Wonderful flavors, generous portions, and an excellent ambiance all combine to make Armando’s the first choice in Italian cuisine in Cuernavaca! The pizzas are artfully made, with just the right balance of the highest quality ingredients topping the owner’s special crust, which is made from fresh dough on a daily basis. But, Armando’s is much more than just fantastic pizza! There are over a dozen amazing pasta dishes, along with tasty paninis and rich calzone. For those seeking more of a continental cuisine, there are “Platos Fuertes” offerings that feature rib eye, salmon, white fish, chicken and even vegetarian offerings. Perfect coffees, cold beer, fine wines, and sumptuous desserts are available as well. Most evenings Chris, the bilingual proprietor, is available to welcome guests and share some witty relaxed conversation and his extensive knowledge of Cuernavaca and beyond. Visit once and you’ll wish to become a regular. – Barbara Wilson, Cuernavaca
What a great restaurant! I love sitting on the patio, enjoying the most wonderful pizza that I have experienced in my travels around the world. And, the service has always been excellent. Chris, the owner, is a wonderful host that goes above and beyond to assure our every desire. Armando’s has become one of our favorite restaurants in Cuernavaca. Sitting on the patio listening to the soft music, enjoying the coldest beer in town, with Bruschetta followed by the Filete de Salmon or the mouth watering Rib Eye is my idea of a truly great experience.- Bill Hood, Vista Hermosa, Cuernavaca y Austin, Texas
We had the Spaghetti Carbonara on Friday last and it was great, just the way I like it, with not too much sauce and with excellent taste. Add a good glass of wine and good service and you have the perfect setting for a relaxing good meal. Obviously your pizzas are the best in Morelos, the 3 carnes pizza is my personal favorite but they are all good. Last but not least, as it should be, you have excellent postres. We will keep coming back for more. – Jan & Marijke Peterse
You have been highly recognized as one of the best ristorante’s in Cuernavaca. I am moving there in the next couple months and I can’t wait to taste your cuisine. After reviewing your menu I can smell the aroma’s right here in Canada. See you soon. – Deborah Stollar
As a Canadian who has lived in Cuernavaca for almost five years, the pizza in Mexico is generally not very good. Armando’s is not only my favourite pizza in Cuernavaca, but it’s among the best pizza I’ve ever had anywhere. I’ve recommended it to many people, and almost all agree, and many have become semi-regulars. Great atmosphere too, with the patio above the street. I have been going since Aug. ’07, about once every four to six weeks, and have never been disappointed. Try the homemade cheesecake if it’s available! – Dan Bowski
I grew up in New York City and measure all pizza against what I was raised with. Now for the past 4 years I have been living in Cuernavaca and rate their pizza among the best. Chris the owner is a great person, originally from Canada but that was many years ago. I bring my friends here, recommend it to visiting students at the International Guide Academy and A Spanish Language Institute and all have agreed with me about it being very good pizza. It is a small local restaurant favored by locals and visitors. – Don Francisco
…so I had to see for myself. Ordered the Caesar salad and the three-meat pizza. The Caesar salad was fresh and crisp with lots of Parmesan on top. Would have loved to have more bacon on it, but I guess I got my meat intake with the pizza which came later.
The pizza is thin crust, but the crust is crispy and substantial enough in order to hold lots of toppings – this is rare in the world of pizzas. Lots of cheese, and you could barely see the outside crust as the toppings went right to the edge – always a good sign.
The owner came over to chat – he’s a fellow Canuck after all. The place has been going strong for three-four years now, without having to advertise. The family I am staying with for my homestay while in Cuernavaca had recommended the place and I cannot say they were wrong – I would doubt I could find better here in Cuernavaca.
If you’re hankering for pizza, check this place out! – 2 Travelling Canucks
Delicious and different – Armando’s is a great place for pizza and several other Italian dishes. Also one of the best steaks I have had in Mexico. There’s good music, a varied wine-list, and incredible cheesecakes. Chris, a Canadian, is a friendly helpful host, and Fernanda is a delight. You know it’s good by the number of regulars, and there is a bunch! – Caban
