Alex was born in January 1947 in Paris, France. He attended IEP (Political Sciences Institute) in Paris and graduated in 1968.
After several years of professional experiences in the USA, Isreal, and Germany he became product manager in a French subsidiary of the U.S.-based group, Colt, where he was employed from 1971 to 1975.
In 1977, Zuckerman founded FIMOR, which today is the largest exporter of squeegee blades for screenprinting industry worldwide, with exports to 85 countries. FIMOR has a total of 85 employees at 4 main sites in France, Germany, China and North America. FIMOR Headquarters are located at Le Mans, France where 100% of the squeegee blades are currently manufactured.
FIMOR has patented 10 inventions in various countries, which were mostly developed by Alex. In 1998, FIMOR pioneered the “triple durometer squeegee” and the non-bending construction known as “serilor® COMBI”.
Other than squeegee blades and sharpeners, FIMOR has separate divisions devoted to electronic keyboards, passive electronic components, and PU rubber industrial applications.
Alex was until 2001 Vice-President of the European Screen Printing Manufacture Association (ESMA) and Chairman of the Industrial Application Committee. 1999 inductee into the SGIA’s Academy of Screen Printing Technology (ASPT), Chairman of the SGIA’s Academy of Screen Printing Technology 2008-2010
Alex enjoys skiing, tennis, hiking, literature, language studies, theater and movies, and he is fluent in seven languages
Alex has 3 children : Manuel (VP of the FIMOR Group), Lola and Ilya.

Headquarters is easily accessible from downtown PARIS (54 mn) via the TVG train station, only 2 kilometers away. Staff members are young; averaging 35 years old. All employees and executives are bilingual or multilingual, with a command of more than 12 working languages.
Since November 2003, FIMOR has had ISO 9001 certification, in accordance with TUV. Ten patents have been applied for by FIMOR in the fields of plastic and rubber manufacturing, and for use in electronics applications.
In 1997, FIMOR received the “NEF D’OR” distinction from the “VILLE DE PARIS”, presented to those companies meeting specific performance standards.
In 1999, FIMOR was declared “ENTREPRISE INNOVANTE” by the National French Research Institute (ANVAR).
In November 2006, FIMOR simultaneously received the “INTERNATIONAL AWARD” from MIDEST (leading show of industry to industry subcontracting trades in Europe) and the “PERFORMANCE TROPHY” from “LES ECHOS” a daily financial newspaper.
In 2009, Fimor received the INNOVSPACE for the SUPOR® mats for pig farms.
