Grass isn’t Always Greener

Grass isn’t Always Greener

This painting is fictional in that the place only exists in my mind. The phrase “The grass isn’t always greener” is rampant in my mind currently. It is a message to those that seek a growth or renewal in life to never give up the past that brought you to where you are. There is solace in familiar things.

I find myself using more and more green in my paintings. Green is a lovely color, drawing our interest for many reasons. Green is the color of life, of nature itself. Abundant in nature, green signifies growth, renewal, health, and environment. A restful color, green has some of the same calming attributes of blue. Like blue, time moves faster when surrounded by green.

The purpose was to create a calming and end a day filled with opportunity for a renewed life of growth and health at the next mornings dawn. I hope you believe I have succeeded.
