Description
While originally native to western Sonora, Palmas de Abanico (Fan Palm) are abundant in Cuernavaca and indeed throughout much of Mexico. It is found in the gardens of many homes as an ornamental tree and stands in contrast to the other more colorful flora of the city. The lifespan may exceed 500 years if cared for properly.
