Austin Workshops

Classes
Classes begin at 9 a.m. on both days and end at 6 p.m. We use an interactive approach to teaching. By combining classroom lecture, audio-visuals, lecture, question and answers, problem solving, peer interaction, and hands-on lab sessions, the attendees learn and will retain a greater amount of information. This is not an all day printing class. You will print, but the majority of the 2 days will be spent on education and knowledge. You will have ample opportunity to print when you get back to your shop and put the knowledge to practical use with your own equipment. The information will prove to be invaluable.

Obviously, this is about getting the maximum amount of information to you in as short of a period of time as possible. There is much to learn and there is more classroom than lab work. Screenprinting is the easy part. It is the knowledge of how to do it right that requires the most intensity. This approach coupled with a relaxed, casual environment, a professional instructor with many years of actual shop experience makes the workshop easy and enjoyable.

A pad of paper, maybe two and pens to take notes.
Any questions that you have
Samples of any work that you want critiqued

Clothing
You should dress comfortably and for warm weather. Be sure to wear clothing to the class that you do not mind getting ink or emulsion on. These do not wash out of clothing.

Cancellations and Refunds
Class fees will not be refunded for cancellations, however, we do allow you to attend any future classes for up to one year at any of our locations. If for any reason a class is cancelled, students will be notified and full refunds returned.

Tax Deduction
According to Treasury Regulation 1.162-5, registration fees, travel, meals, lodging, etc., are tax deductible as educational expenses if the instruction is to maintain or improve skills necessary to employment or required by an employer or by law. If you have not started your business prior to attending one of these classes it may not be possible to deduct these expenses. Consult your accountant or CPA for additional information.

Hotel accommodations are not included in the workshop fees. Reservations should be made directly with the hotel as far in advance as possible. It is advisable to arrive the day before the workshop in order to arrive at the workshop on the first day by 9 a.m. Some hotels within 1-miles of the the shop are listed below. The classes are conducted at SRI Screenprinting, located just a few minutes North of downtown Austin off of I-35 in Round Rock, which is an adjoining suburb of Austin. The physical location is:

Directions
From downtime Austin, take I-35 North
Proceed for 16.6 miles, Take Hwy 45 and stay on access road
