How long has Solutions Journal been published?

Solutions Journal begin in 1983 as the now defunct Austin Arts BBS, a computer bulletin board system based on Usenet, and operated by Bill Hood as a means of disseminating information to screenprinters in the Austin, Texas community. Within a few months it was receiving hits from around the world, and the name was changed to be more descriptive of its readership and goals. We were the first online screenprinting magazine, the first to broadcast audio information for the screenprinting community, and with the advent of the Internet in 1993 the first Internet Radio Station - Screenprinters Radio or SPIN, as it was known. As the technology changed, we adapted continually and today have combined all of our publishing services into Solutions Journal and our sister site - Screenprint Group at http://screenprintgroup.com online.

What is the cost of a subscription to Solutions Journal Magazine?

The subscription is $144.00 per year - about 39-cents a day. Subscriptions are renewed annually, and subscribers can cancel at anytime during the year after the subscription is renewed. Subscriptions are not refundable. The site is available 24 hours a day from anywhere in the world with an Internet connection for 39-cents a day. That’s is a lot less than the price of a printed magazine with 75-percent advertising for things that you don’t need. We present knowledge, technological information and up to date news and it is available when you need it. You don't have to wait for the post office to deliver monthly. All you have to consider – is your business and it’s continued success is worth 39-cents a day?

What is a digital subscription?

A digital subscription provides access to Solutions Journal content online through your device, the monthly email digital copy, which is in PDF format and viewable on most devices that accepts PDF files. Solutions Journal is not supported on all devices. It is designed to show best on a full size computer or laptop, but may work on some tablets and even phones

How are digital subscriptions billed?

We accept major credit cards and debit cards through billing partner, PayPal. Subscriptions are billed yearly. Your subscription will be renewed automatically, and you will be charged in advance of each billing cycle unless you cancel.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

You can cancel your subscription to Solutions Journal at any time. When you cancel, we will stop charging your account the following billing cycle. Each billing cycle is one year, so your access will continue for the remainder of the current yearly billing period. We do not offer refunds for non-use of the site.

Can I link to Solutions Journal articles through Facebook, Twitter, search engines or my blog?

Yes. We encourage links from Facebook, Twitter, search engines, blogs and social media. Keep in mind that the visitor that clicks on the link will require a subscription to Solutions Journal before they can view the article that you linked to.

Can I go back and read an article I've already read?

Yes, unlike other online magazines and digital content, you can read any article on Solutions Journal as many times as you wish.

How do I change the email address that's associated with my digital subscription?

To change your email address, click on Profile in the right sidebar of the front page. In the Profile section, you will be able to change your email address at any time. The email address must not be associated with another account.

When I go on vacation, can I put my digital subscription on hold?

No. Solutions Journal digital content is available anywhere there's an Internet connection, so we do not offer vacation suspensions.

Do you have an education subscription program?

Yes. You may qualify for the College Rate of a 50% discount if you are enrolled at an approved college or university as a student, faculty member, staff or administrator and have a valid college or university email address, which usually ends in .edu. If you are enrolled in an approved college or university at one of the few colleges or university who do not have addresses that end in .edu, we will accept a certified copy of your student or faculty ID as proof. To take advantage of the educational offer send us an email using your .edu address and a certified digital copy of your ID card and we will send you an invoice by return email for the payment.

I'm outside the United States. How will my subscription price be calculated?

All Solutions Journal subscription prices are in U.S. dollars. If you're outside the United States, we'll calculate your subscription price on the billing cycle, based on the exchange rate at the time of the calculation.

How do I send you my feedback on digital subscriptions and products?

We welcome your comments. To send suggestions or comments, please use our Feedback link in the Navigation Panel at the top of each page. If you're experiencing problems with your digital subscription, please use the Contact link in the Navigation panel instead.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Our subscription service is through PayPal. You may return to your PayPal account and cancel any recurring subscriptions at any time.

Who writes the articles at Solutions Journal?

The majority of articles are written by industry author, Bill Hood, who is the author of 40+ books on screenprinting and well over 5,000 articles - making him the most prolific author in the screenprinting industry. Over the last 3 decades, he has written for most of the major industry magazines in the United States and abroad. He has been an industry consultant for the past 35 years, visiting well over 8,000 shops worldwide during this time. Today, he owns several industry related businesses, including the School of Screenprinting and others. Other writers are encouraged to submit articles to the magazine.

Can I share my digital subscription with my employees?

Yes, the digital subscription to Solutions Journal allows for sharing with others within your organization as long as they arrive from no more than two Internet Protocols. In order to share it with another computer users with a unique IP address, you will need an additional subscription.

Can I email the articles to others, or publish them on my blog or website?

All content published on Solutions Journal is copyrighted and protected with TraceFusion, which marks each premium download with a unique digital encrypted signature containing information about the identity of the premium member who downloaded the content. If a premium user accesses and shares the premium content of the magazine, the software will be able track and discover which member leaked the content. Any premium member who shares the copyright content of the magazine will have their subscription terminated immediately and will no longer be able to access the site.
