The Marshall Ford Inn was out past Mansfield Dam on Ranch Road 620.

I remember seeing Butch Hancock Band, Deep Eddy, Por Crow and many others in this great intimate setting. It was always worth the drive.

I remember the night that The Marshall Ford Inn and Ben and Bob's Tavern were raided by the Alcoholic Beverage Commission early one morning in March of 1977. They hit The Marshall Ford Inn first, pushing their way in the back door with guns drawn. The bar had already shut down for the evening and the staff was cleaning up. The five patrons who were still in the club, were arrested and charged with public drunkenness. They were held overnight and fined $22.50 each. This despite that fact they were never given a breathalyzer test or that they were not in the public.

Ratty John Lane, an employee of Marshall Ford Tavern stated that he believed an attorney, Harold Ford, who works for the Governor's Office lived down the road from the Marshall Ford Inn and Ben and Bob's Tavern was the one who called the police.

Ben and Bob's was fined for having a minor behind the bar, which is apparently not a crime.
