Danny Sweem has had a long and illustrious career in the screenprinting technologies.
Danny attended York Technical College from 1985 to 1989, where he earned two Associate Degrees; Study Management & General Business .
After college, Danny began his career in retail as the owner of two small sporting good stores in South Carolina.
From 1999 to 2001, Danny served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Silkworm, Inc , a leading manufacturer of institutional apparel in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
In 2001, Danny went to work for Rutland Plastic Technologies, an ink manufacturer for the screenprinting technologies. He was Director of Sales and Marketing efforts both domestically and internationally. Eventually, Danny would be promoted to Vice President of Screenprint Sales.
In 2006, Danny founded Hero Global Services, LLC , and served as President of the international sales and sourcing company in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The company produced Eco-sustainable chemicals for use in the energy, construction and textile markets, with markets located in the Middle East, Africa, Central, South, and North America .
In 2009, Danny was the Sales Manager for Nazdar’s distribution locations within the South East USA, Central America and the Caribbean and warehouse locations in Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala and distribution partners in The Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Panama, and Costa Rica). His duties included sales and service to the textile screen, graphic screen and digital printing printing inks, equipment and supplies to both the graphic and textile print markets. He eventually held the position of Vice President for Nazdar/SourceOne’s Textiles Inks Business Unit.
From Dec 2013 to May 2018, Danny Vice President of the Textile Inks Business Unit at Nasdar/SourceOne, where he oversaw SourceOne’s textile ink product portfolio, customer relationships, sales strategies, technical support team, and vendor relationships. He was working with Nazdar’s locations in Greensboro NC, Atlanta GA, Miami FL, San Pedro Sula, Honduras and Guatemala City, Guatemala.
In May of 2018, Danny was named to replace founder Rich Hoffman as the CEO of the M&R Companies, manufacturers of screenprinting equipment and grand format digital printers. The M&R Companies have seen tremendous growth over the last decade. In late 2015, M&R moved into a new 320,000-square-foot facility in Roselle, Illinois after operating in the Glen Ellyn and Niles area for three decades. Since then the organization has seen other significant changes like the Spring 2017 acquisition of New Hampshire-based grand-format printer manufacturers Novus Imaging and an equipment design collaboration with a major manufacturing group Shenzen, China.
