Saul “Ray” Rueby (Rubenstein) was born 14 Dec 1898 in Troy, Pike County, Alabama to Woodford Benjamin Rubenstein and Anna “Belle” (Paschtein) Rubenstein. He was married to Alice Belle (Marshall) Rueby, and he was the father of
Ray Rueby, Jr. (1926-2019) and Alys (Rueby) Tracewell (1919-2006)
He changed his name from Saul Ray Rubenstein to Ray Rueby to avoid being known as Jewish.
He founded Rueby Process, a screen printing business specializing in promotional products and awards, providing catalogs for such companies as Xerox, Kodak, GE, and Corning, Inc. The company name was later changed to Rueby Corporation.
He passed in May 1967 in Rochester, Monroe County, New York.
