Bill Hood is the author of over 80 books and thousands of technical articles on screenprinting. Bill Hood entered the screenprinting technologies over 75 years ago. As the son of a screenprinter, he began his career working in the family screenprinting business. He has since owned several screenprinting shops before establishing a successful career as an independent, and international screenprinting consultant in the graphics, signage, architectural, industrial, functional, nameplates, and textiles.
He is the founder of several entrepreneurial endeavors in screenprint technologies, including Bill Hood Consulting and School of Screenprinting, which has helped tens of thousands of individuals and companies advance in the screenprinting technologies. He is the publisher of Screenprint Magazine, Revista de Serigrafia (in Spanish) and the Screenprint Research Journal, as well as several other entrepreneurial endeavors.
He is a Fellow of the Screenprint Process Technical Research Center (SPTRC), a Fellow of the Academy of Screen and Digital Printing Technologies (ASDPT), a Lifetime Member of the Printing United Alliance, a recipient of the prestigious Swormstedt Award for outstanding technical writing, and in 2024 was presented with the Joe Clark Innovator Award in Screenprinting in the spirit of innovation through inventing or renovating existing products, processes, or methodologies and having shared the knowledge, products, or methodologies with the public to promote the screenprinting industries. He is an inductee in Who’s Who in Screenprinting.
