The U.S. Embassy based in Mexico City (CDMX) is moving to a new location and all passport services are cancelled between November 20 and November 23, 2025. Specifically, the U.S. Embassy has confirmed that between 20 and 23 November no care will be provided or access to the emergency passport service. Operations will resume normally from 24 November at the new location if all goes well. It is recommended to take note of the changes in this regard and remain attentive to the announcements made by the U.S. Government.
In order to modernize the services of visa, citizenship and passports, the Government of the United States has decided to move the U.S. Embassy the new unit located at the corner of Calz Legaria & Av. Casa de La Moneda, Lomas de Sotelo, Col. Irrigación, Miguel Hidalgo, 11500 Ciudad de México, CDMX.
In case of theft or loss of a U.S. passport during these days, an emergency passport can be obtained in other U.S. consulates in Mexico:
