Food grade citric acid is a naturally occurring acid found in the rinds of citrus fruits, known for its preservation of food items, and for cleaning properties.<\/p>\n<p>To do this, first flush the toilet so that moisture is evenly distributed throughout the basin.<\/p>\n<p>Now, add approximately 50 grams of citric acid to the toilet. Sprinkle it in so that some of it sticks to the basin walls. Now we need one more ingredient, and that is baking soda (<em>bicarbonato de sodio<\/em>), because when combined, they have an unbelievable effect, as you will see in a moment.<\/p>\n<p>Now add the bicarbonate of soda to the toilet. Again, it should be about 50 grams. And as you can see, there will be an immediate reaction of bubbling. The combination of bicarbonate of soda and citric acid is especially effective in reducing urine scale and limescale.<\/p>\n<p>Leave it on for at least one hour and then scrub the entire toilet again with the toilet brush. After you have wiped everything, you only have to flush again, and your toilet is clean once more.<\/p>\n<p>Citric acid can also be used on the stainless steel sink tops, cleaning the grout between Mexican Tiles, removing limescale deposits from glassware, the interior of kettles, shower heads, the washing machine and for cleaning the tubes in your coffee maker.
