robert-bellemareRobert Bellemare – Born into screenprinting as the son of Montreal (Quebec) Canadian printer, Robert Bellemare Sr. He worked diligently in the family business, holding various positions as a camera operator, screenmaker printer, and finally in 1987 progressed into sales, acquiring knowledge as he went. In 1989, Robert opened his own shop.

Today, Robert has a hand in every aspect of the business from file treatment, color separations, preparation of stencils, and printing. Understanding the need for control within the highly technical UV printing segment of the screenprinting industry, he specialized in very fine halftone reproduction up to 300 lines per inch and especially stochastic halftone work. From the beginning, he directed its activities to a special niche: the upscale market.

He has always wanted to control everything that can influence the results and achieve the highest printing quality levels. His will to excel took him to France to the studio of the master Michel Caza (Graficaza), the guru of luxury screen printing. Caza shared his ideas with Robert and his intention to develop more avant-garde screen printing techniques, for over 20 years.

Robert soon became a reference for upscale printing in Canada and around the world. He has received over 80 Golden Image Awards for excellence from the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) and more than 31 awards for excellence in printing quality from the Federation of European Screen Printers Association (FESPA).

Due to his passion for color and the visual arts, he continues to create relationships with known and lesser-known artists to democratize art and make it accessible.

Bellemare holds a Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration/Marketing.

In 2002, Bellemare was elected to the Academy of Screen & Digital Printing Technology (ASDPT).
