Ad Versteeg – Active in the screen printing industry since 1968, Versteeg has worked as a screenprinter in the graphics industry with companies as widespread in Holland and New Zealand. Later he was a teacher of screen printing techniques and the general editor of a screenprinting magazine for almost 18 years. For some seven years, he has been the secretary of ‘Het Zeefdruk Instituut’, a non-profit organization for the screen printing industry, of which he was one of the founders. Since 1998 Versteeg has owned Evident, based in Utrecht, Netherlands.
He has written several textbooks and translated the Federation of European Screen Printing Association (FESPA) e-learning screenprinting course into Dutch. In 2004 he wrote “Anything Goes at the Screenprinters,” a book aimed at the layman and a marketing tool for the screenprinting industry. This well-illustrated book is unfortunately only available in Dutch at the moment. Today he is an independent consultant and freelance journalist, writing for several magazines, and is a photographer with a lifetime passion for screenprinting.
Versteeg 2011 inductee into the Academy of Screen and Digital Print Technologies (ASDPT).
