Debbie Thorp is the Business Development Director at Global Inkjet Systems Ltd (GIS), a leading developer of RIP software, drivers, electronics, and ink system components for industrial inkjet printheads. Thorp has a BA degree in Modern Languages from Manchester University and an MBA from Durham University Business School.

She has spent more than 25 years in digital printing consultancies. Earlier in her career, Thorp spent over ten years in senior positions at specialist digital printing consultancy companies BIS Strategic Decisions, IT Strategies, and CAP Ventures (now InfoTrends).

In the late 1990s, Thorpe was Head of Group Marketing at Xaar Plc; Director of Business Development at AIP Ltd, a liquid toner technology development company, where she led the business development function of this joint venture between The Technology Partnership and Research Labs of Australia; Vice President, EMEA Operations at iTi, an inkjet integrator and materials deposition device manufacturer. She joined Global Inkjet Systems, Inc. in 2010.

Thorp was inducted into the prestigious Academy of Screen and Digital Print Technologies in 2017.
