Denise Breard began working at Action Screen Printing in New Orleans during the late 1970s. She quickly found her calling was more technical and training related and moved into the manufacturing and distribution segments of screenprinting technologies.
After serving as Product Manager with AutoType Americas, Breard served as Training Manager with Sericol’s Technical Department at their U.S. corporate headquarters in Kansas City, Kansas. While there, she developed and presented technical training curricula and served as a valued resource for the company. From there, she became the National Key Account Manager for Sericol Australia and later was the Technical Services Manager for Sericol in China. She is now with the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) at their headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia.
Breard is a speaker and workshop leader for industry trade shows and exhibitions and contributes to industry publications with over 20 articles in print.
A former SGIA Board of Directors member, Breard has participated on various SGIA committees, including the Education Committee, for which she was chair. She has served on the Board of Advisors for various printing programs and as adjunct faculty for workshops and training programs, including those offered by the SPTF. Breard has often served as a technical judge in printing competitions, including SGIA’s Golden Image Competition and Imprinted Sportswear Shows. She has received numerous awards and commendations but is most proud of the prestigious Key Award, in 1999, from SGIA for her educational contributions to the industry.
She is a 2003 inductee into the Academy of Screen and Digital Print Technologies (ASDPT).
