Acknowledgements

We honor those who have contributed to Who’s Who in Screenprinting. While the site was created by a single individual, no man is an island.

No man is an island entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as a manor of thy friends or of thine own were; any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind. And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee. – From Devotions upon Emergent Occasions by John Donne (1624)

A number of individuals mentioned within the pages here are no longer living among us, but their name and accomplishments live on in the listings on this site. There is an old saying, “You die twice. You die once, when you do die, but the second time you die is when your name isn’t spoken anymore.” It is our hope that these individuals will not be forgotten.

Indeed, the work would not be present if not for the multitude of individuals who have contributed their time, talent and financial backing to make this work possible.

Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) – for their work in honoring individuals and for providing the biographies on some of the listings presented here.

ST Media Group – Publishers of Screen Printing Magazine, Signs of the Times, and other publications, including their website ScreenWeb, from which bits of information were culled. Their useful technical, educational articles, links to suppliers, and more have allowed us to network with others and acquire information.

William “Bill” M. Windsor – For his undying devotion to the textile segment of the screenprinting industry, which presented us with Impressions Magazine and the Imprinted Sportswear Shows, which allowed us to network with thousands of others to gather information over the years.

Nielsen Business Media – The current publishers of Impressions Magazine, whose pages have lent a great amount of information contained within the site.

National Business Media – Publishers of Printwear Magazine, which publishes information on screenprinting, heat transfer, sublimation and others processes utilized in the screenprinting industry.
