Dr. Qinguo Fan – Professor of Materials & Textiles at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth

Dr. Quinguo Fan earned his Ph. D in Color Chemistry from the University of Leeds, UK in 1995. He received an MS and a BS in Textile Chemistry from China Textile University (now DongHua University), Shanghai, China in 1988 and 1982, respectively.

Before joining the faculty at UMD in 1998, he was a Textile Chemist in charge of R&D, dyeing and finishing, waste water treatment and customer service in Novel Textile Ltd in Mauritius.

His research interests include inkjet printing, color science, polymer chemistry, and nanocomposites. He has published more than 70 scientific papers in journals and conferences. He is a life member of AATCC, member of ACS, and reviewer for AATCC Review, Textile Research Journal, Journal of the Textile Institute, and other peer-reviewed journals.
