“My knowledge of the subject is, however, not limited to reading about it in books or consulting with others. My own personal experience as a daily practitioner in the field goes back more than twenty-five years and extends to the present day. During my long internship, I have had occasion to work in every department of the screen shop: as a printer, paint mixer, layout and lettering artist, stencil man, manager, estimator, and consultant.”
