Rick L. FuquaRick L. Fuqua has been in the screenprinting industry since 1990. Fuqua has a Teaching Degree in Graphic Communications and a Masters in Technology Education. Fuqua is the owner and operator of Real Performance Machinery L.L.C. (RPM) in Indianapolis, Indiana, which manufacturers automatic screenprinting presses. A separate division of the company, Rebuilt Machine Works division specializes in the resale of rebuilt printing machines and dryers as well as the contracted rebuilding of customer equipment. The companies also design and build specialized accessories that enhance machine performance in the form of machine upgrades/retrofits or separate stand alone units.

Prior to RPM, Fuqua worked with American Screenprinting Equipment division of Advance Process Supply for 11 years where he held positions ranging from Screenprint Instructor, Textile Product Manager and Director of Textile Product Sales and Research and Development.  He was on the management team of Elexon, Ltd. for the first three years of the companies existence.

Fuqua has authored numerous technical articles for the major trade journals such as Impressions, ScreenPrinting, Printwear, and The Press. The articles have ranged from Printing Techniques of Dark Garments, Four-Color Process, All Over Printing, and technical equipment articles on press and dryer performance to machine design and troubleshooting machinery. Fuqua has presented seminars at industry trade shows on many of these same topics that he writes of.

Fuqua holds screenprinting machinery patents ranging from complete machine designs of both oval and round presses to flash cure units, pin register systems, and All Over Print Platens.
