Ronald “Ron” C. Anderson – Owner of Pressurized Screen Graphics, of Connellsville, PA, who in 1984 invented a press to print baseball caps without the use of a squeegee. The device used air pressure to transfer the ink through the mesh and onto the substrate. While the machine had some success in the beginning, today the press is no longer being manufactured. The company, however, is still in business as of Jan 3, 2012.
He was issued Patent No. 4,590,854 and a second Patent No. 4,702,165 in 1986 and 1987 for the Cap Printer. Sean Deegan did the illustrations for the technical manual, who today is the Technical Effects Director for GoDaddy.
Besides the patent on the Cap Printer for Pressurized Screen Graphics, Anderson holds patents with Hix Corporation, SAFT America, Inc. and Stahls’, Inc.
