\"wade-swormstedt\"<\/a>Wade Swormstedt was born to David Reid Swormstedt, Jr, and Winifred Bronson Swormstedt.<\/p>\n

He attended Boston University for two years (1978-1980) where he graduated with a BS in Journalism. Wade played #8 for BU rugby club that was 17-1-1 in his senior year, with triumphs in the 1980 Mardi Gras and Beanpot tournaments. Neiman-Marcus had the team model their rugby shirts and gave the team a keg of beer inside their store as payment.

After Boston University, Wade interned at the Cambridge Chronicle newspaper and worked for the Jasper County (South Carolina) News for a 1 year, before returning to Cincinnati, Ohio.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Wade began working at the family-owned ST Media Group in June 1981, and spent the next 34 years there. Wade became the editor and eventual publisher of Signs of the Times Magazine.<\/p>\n

In 2016, Wade was the Executive Director of the Foundation for the Advancement of the Sign Industry (FASI) before retiring in January 2019. FASI is an advocate for the societal benefits of on-premise signage for society. It works with associations, universities, trade publications and research organizations to promote the efforts within the on-premise sign industry.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
