Mariscos El Pelon has been serving seafood in Cuernavaca for over 13 years at the same location, having expanded twice to accommodate the crowds. While there are many seafood restaurants in Cuernavaca most are overpriced with small servings. This is not the case with El Pelon, the servings are extremely large and as can be seen in the menu below, the prices are quite reasonable.
Owners, Raul and Luz Maria set out to serve the working people of Cuernavaca; the taxi drivers, office workers, delivery operators, and construction workers, but they were soon discovered by others and today the diners include just as many business owners, expats, tourists, and on the weekend the Mexico City residents spending time in their weekend houses in Cuernavaca.
It seems that everyone loves the fresh seafood, served by an attentive caring staff at an affordable price. What else could anyone want?
