My bookshelf is filled with books on how to make the sale. There are books, which give hundreds of sales tips for getting the customer to buy a product. Another explains how to make the perfect presentation. Still others cover such things as negotiating to close, building relationships, improving creative thinking, handling objections, creating motivation, or creating a personal selling profile. Yes, I even own a copy of Selling For Dummies.
While these are all good books in their own right, they all start too late in the process of selling for most of us. You have to find the clients first and this is where this article comes in.
